About the workshop:
We have heard using WIFI at our home, college and work place from many years. In recent times we are hearing a lot about 5G.
What exactly is the difference between 5G an WIFI? Most important question is why are we even comparing 5G and WIFI?
The answer is these are competing technologies and in near future there is high chance that you may use 5G instead of WIFI in your home, college or office. In this workshop we introduce both technologies, provide pros and cons and uses in our daily lives.
Learning Outcomes:
After completing this workshop the participants should be able to understand basic concepts of 5G, WIFI application of both technologies.
Intended Audience :
Bachelors/ Masters Students from Computer Science, Electronics, Communication and Electrical Engineering and working professionals planning to refresh or upskill in communication technologies.

About the Instructor
Mr. Kiran is the Founder and CEO of DTRI, an advanced technical education company specialized in 5G and IoT system design in the areas of modem, radio and antenna technologies. His area of expertise is in hardware system design.
He is a hands-on engineer and an accomplished radio systems architect for wireless communication products. He has 18+years of experience spanning hardware and signal processing software with a Master’s Degree (MSEE) specialized in Wireless Communication Engineering from University of Kansas, USA.
DTRI is associated with educational institutions to help build skills in wireless communication hardware design and collaborates with industries to on-board skilled engineers.
At a leadership position, Kiran has created and led multi-disciplinary hardware engineering teams at Qualcomm, Intel and L&T Infotech for designing cutting edge products to major customers like Apple, Oppo, Vivo, Samsung, Microsoft, Reliance JIO, Dell, HP and Lenovo.
Kiran is an active Senior IEEE member, technical paper reviewer, an invited speaker at IEEE events and addressed 1000+ students, faculty and industry professionals on IoT and 5G hardware topics.
