Description of the workshop
The fundamental purpose of a scientific discourse is not the mere presentation of information and thought, but rather its actual communication. It does not matter how pleased an author might be to have converted all the right data into sentences and paragraphs; it matters only whether a large majority of the reading audience accurately perceives what the author had in mind (Gopen and Swan, 1990)”. More than often good scholars and researchers fail to communicate their research pieces in their intended outlet due to lack of experience; poor writing habits; writing anxiety; unfamiliarity with the requirements of scholarly writing; lack of confidence in writing ability; fear of failure; and resistance to feedback. This workshop deals with issues related to elements of scientific/scholarly writing and journal publications. The course will be delivered by an instructor who serves as an editor for three top level journals and is a reviewer for multiple reputed international journals.
