History: Designer Princess Mimi di Niscemi was born in 1931, Palermo, Italy to an aristocratic family. Married Prince Alexander Romanov in 1971 after she had already established her jewelry business in the U.S.A. Early in her career di Niscemi attended the Philadelphia School of Industrial Arts to learn the art of silversmithing & jewelry making.
