About the workshop:
“Technology advancements in communications are increasing exponentially over the past few decades and now the world is currently moving from 4G to 5G technology, which has 10-100x improvements in various performance matrices, data speed, latency time, connectivity, etc. This has been achieved by a combination of both software and hardware advancements. In this presentation, Ansys will cover new breakthrough technologies in computational electromagnetics for solving different 5G RF modules such as a phased array, user equipment, filters, RF boards, etc. In order to meet the communication and regulations (FCC) different types of beamforming processes and near filed power density calculations are required.
Ansys HFSS is a 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulation software for designing and simulating high-frequency electronic products such as antennas, antenna arrays, RF or microwave components, high-speed interconnects, filters, connectors, IC packages and printed circuit boards. Engineers worldwide use Ansys HFSS to design high-frequency, high-speed electronics found in communications systems, radar systems, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), satellites, internet-of-things (IoT) products and other high-speed RF and digital devices.
The session will cover the simulation of various RF applications like antenna design, array design, electromagnetic interference, antenna placements, RCS etc. using Ansys HFSS. The detailed discussion on the various simulation methodology (Solvers) available in HFSS will be covered.”
