Profile of the Instructor

Dr. Abdus Samad teaches Artificial lift and Surface facilities for the oil and gas industry, with experience in the UK focused on designing Innovative Artificial lift systems. He holds a patent in artificial lift and has authored several research papers. Dr. Samad has been teaching a specialised course on artificial lift and surface facility course for several years and offers NPTEL courses on the subject, which are currently running.

Definition of artificial lift, SRP, ESP, PCP, gas lift, Jet Pump

Day 2 : Selection approach

Concepts Covered:

Wellbore fluid properties, selecting artificial lift

 

Learning Outcomes:

The learners will know how to select an artificial lift for specific wellbores.

Fees of the Workshop :

Faculty: Rs. 1180 (Rs. 1000 + GST)

Industry : Rs. 1770 (Rs. 1500 + GST)

Certification Criteria

Assignment 1 : 20%, Assignment 2 : 20%, Final exam: 50%.

Minimum 40% marks in each assignment and final exam is required to get the certificate.

 

Certificates will be awarded upon successful completion of the workshop.
