About:

The primary objectives of the course are as follows:
• To understand the human circulatory physiology and Mechanics.
• To learn how to model the circulatory system physiology, under steady and pulsatile hemodynamic conditions through the principles of mechanics and biology.
• To understand methods involved in the analytical, experimental and computational approaches for understanding the mechano-biology of cardiovascular, cerebral and pulmonary systems.
• To understand the state-of-the-art Mechanical prosthetics and be able to evaluate design and developments of clinical interest (such as, coils, clips, stents, valves, LVAD’s, ECMO’s) involved in the circulatory systems.
