“Objective Coding best practices are vital for helping the teams create good quality code. In the workshop we will discuss about best practices to raise the quality of the code. Agile world of today is moving fast. Customers’ expectations and demands are rising. They are demanding more features, faster and cheaper. Budgets always seem to be shrinking. This creates a situation where developers are facing demanding situations.
So, they have to ponder over building the systems much more efficiently in a standardized way improving efficiency. Instead of bad coding habits, you can set yourself up for success with these coding best practices. Once you implement them, they’ll save you and your team time, resources, and headaches. Here are the best coding practices that you can start utilizing today for your team or yourself.
The objective of this session is to look at what code quality is, what are the best practices, examine how we implement them and reap the benefits in terms of reliability, security and maintainability etc. Let’s cover these areas one after the other.
What is Code Quality?
Code quality is a set of attributes and requirements, standardized and prioritized by the organization. Here are the main attributes that can be used to determine it:
• Reliability: Should work consistently without frequent crashes.
• Clarity: Should follow consistent code style and naming conventions applicable to the language. Easy to read and oversee for anyone who isn’t the developer of the code. If it’s easy to understand, it’s much easier to maintain and extend the code. Not just computers, but also humans need to understand it.
• Maintainability: A high-quality code isn’t overly complicated. Anyone working with the code has to understand the whole context of the code if they want to make any changes.
We can discuss in details the attributes of code quality and they can be implemented by Software Engineers in the session.”

He has led many technology initiatives and helping organizations leverage great technology, adopt effective Engineering Practices, partner closely with Business and build technology and domain capabilities. Developed, maintained, and supported high-volume Digital Servicing Platforms catering to Loan Administration of Millions of Loans catering to the business needs of multiple customers utilizing the platforms.
He has been leading the Technology teams for the last 15 years in building and maintaining the Enterprise level applications and Digital Platforms which brought about tangible benefits to the clients across the globe. He is a certified Project Management Professional from PMI, USA, Six Sigma Green Belt, certified domain expert in US Mortgage Banking by Bank of America. He has done his Bachelors in Engineering from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and holds MBA in Finance along with Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance and ITIL certification from ISEB, UK.
Ms. Keerthi Vaadi
Keerthi Vaddi is the Senior QA Manager, DXP based out of Hyderabad, India. Keerthi has more than 12+Years of experience in QA testing practices of web/mobile based applications and more than 5 years of experience in leading/managing multiple stacks of QA engineers by focusing on optimization, Innovation, Automation along with quality deliverables. Before joining Encora, Keerthi worked for CTS (Cognizant Technology Solutions), Hexaware Technologies, Amazon Development Centre. She holds Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science Engineering
