Name: Prof. Vijayalakshmi V

Profile: Vijayalakshmi V is a faculty with the Department of Management Studies (Broad Area – Organizational Behavior and Human Development), Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). She is involved in socially relevant projects that strive to create a positive and transformative ripple effect in the areas of a) Women Entrepreneurship and b) Holistic Education. She also works in close synergy with the Industry in Coaching and Positive Psychology Interventions such as Sportivity Quotient, Emotional Immunity, Holistic Development, and Well-Being. Her goal for 2022 is to continue my efforts on the overall holistic development and wellbeing of students and teachers, women entrepreneurs, Indian Armed Forces, among others.

  1. Positive Organizational Behavior (Biomimicry, Sportivity Quotient, Strength-Based Approach, Holistic Development, Emotional Immunity)
  2. Cross-Cultural Management (Value Orientations and Well-Being across Cultures)

  4. Teaching, Learning, and Education (Holistic Education, Contemporary Teaching and Learning Beliefs and Practices)

Awards & Recognitions:

  • Received the Young Faculty Recognition Award for Teaching and Research for the year 2020 constituted by IIT Madras Alumnus Dr. P. Balasubramanian (1971/ BT/ AE,1973/ MT/ IM) for recognizing young faculty for meritorious teaching, research, and professional service activities. Name: Prof. Rupashree Baral

Profile: Rupashree Baral is a seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience in teaching and research. She earned her Ph.D. from IIT Bombay. Currently working as an Associate Professor in OB & HR area at the Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras. The key interest lies in teaching, research, training, and consulting. Research outcomes are published in reputed peer-reviewed journals such as Personnel Review, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Knowledge and Process Management, VINE Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems, Journal of Enterprising Communities, South Asian Journal of Business Studies, European Business Review, Management Decision, etc. and presented in several International and National conferences of repute such as Academy of Management.

Conducted several Management and Faculty Development Programmes covering around 1300 professionals/ executives/ business owners/faculty in the last seven years. Undertook 6 externally and 5 internally funded sponsored research projects including projects of social relevance such as Women Empowerment and Youth Development. Supervised 2 Ph.D. and 7 MS (by Research) theses and currently guiding 12 Ph.D. and 1 MS research scholars and the research topics include several interesting and pertinent topics in management. Taught B.Tech, MTech, MBA, Executive, and Doctoral level courses at IIT Madras.

Professional skills include a complete blend of research orientation, analytical attitude, and management aptitude. Believes in hard work, sincerity, and commitment to the given task. A true team player who brings in unique perspectives and complementary competence to the team.

Eligibility requirement of participants: To provide deep knowledge related to OB-HR streams, therefore faculty and doctoral students in the OB-HR area only may please apply from AICTE approved institutes.

Fees:

  • Faculty – ₹1000
  • Student – ₹500

“The registration fee will be refunded for the first 30 faculty participants from AICTE colleges once they attend and complete the training program”.
