Description of the Workshop

With significant changes happening in the landscape of education, traditional teaching and learning approaches have limitations in preparing students for the complexities of the modern world. At its core, 21st teaching and learning skills equip students with diverse abilities to thrive in times characterized by rapid tech-led advancements, globalization, and social and environmental structures. Critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and agility prepare students for academic successes as well as make them solve real-world problems, think innovatively, work effectively in teams, and communicate ideas with ease and confidence. Thus, today’s teachers must be progressively ready to churn out the students with such abilities.

This training shall build capacities in the participating teachers and scholars to hone such skills and be more prepared for the classrooms of today and tomorrow.  The event shall encompass these themes :

Student-centric teaching and learning : To create an encouraging environment in the (online/offline/hybrid) classrooms that is exploratory, discussion-based, experiential, and engaging

Empowered teaching via AI led pedagogy and innovative approaches : To enable teachers equipped with using AI in teaching, and adapting the digital technology for making their classrooms align with changing times.

Social emotional learning :  To build emotional intelligence (mental wellness through self awareness, self-motivation, and the social-emotional skill of empathy) and work towards attaining holistic outcomes out of teaching and learning.
