Teaching and learning in fast evolving times :

With ever-increasing availability of AI based technologies in today’s VUCA world, huge impetus of digitech led disruption in education and as advocated by India’s latest education policy, NEP 2020; academia needs to adopt the much-needed new skill sets for both teaching and learning. Significant and desirable changes can be accomplished by adopting 21st
century teaching and learning skills. This workshop shall scaffold the honing of required teacher-led skills in the participants. It shall encompass these sub-topics:

Student-centric teaching and learning :

Student-centric teaching and learning is the way forward and is about creating an encouraging environment in the (online/offline/hybrid) classrooms that is exploratory, discussion based, experiential and engaging.

Empowered teaching :

Empowered teaching  is the prudent means as the pedagogical and andragogical interventions need to be aligned to develop or provide Critical Thinking & Problem Solving, Innovative approach, Collaboration and Communication, Agility, Curiosity & Imagination. The best means is to enable the teaching community to acquire critical thinking, constructive communication, diverse collaboration with creativity and leadership.

Emotional Intelligence:

The master skill for the above said is Emotional intelligence. It was a fresh beginning to the weekend that I experienced through this workshop. It started off well and throughout, I didn’t stop making notes because there was an inflow of insightful information, gamification tools, models to facilitate sessions effectively and everything that a 21st century teacher needs to deal with students in the best possible manner. A huge thanks to Prathima ma’am for being so effortless while sharing her knowledge and experience. Her humility totally nailed the entire training.
