Profile of the Instructors

Dr. (Prof.) Arijita Banerjee, currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Neurophysiology, IIT Kharagpur, was attached to various prestigious organizations like MAMC Delhi, PGIMS Rohtak. Because of her extensive coursework and double specialization in the field of Physiology, MD and DNB, Professor has a keen interest in Neuroscience mainly catering to autonomic function and cognitive function research as well as cardiovascular research in elderly population. She has been recipient of various awards and grants like MNAMS, IBRO Neuroscience School Grant and Young Scholar Award. She is associated with NPTEL IIT MADRAS as part-time faculty. She has authored various indexed original articles and book chapters in prestigious publications like Taylor & Francis, Bentham Science, Springer Nature and Elsevier.

 

Prof. Debanjan Das, currently working as Assistant Professor in Centre of Excellence, Affordable Healthcare, IIT Kharagpur, is an MTech and PhD from Electrical Engineering. His work mainly spans over topics at the intersection of healthcare and ubiquitous computing, such as biomedical signal processing, Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), novel sensing modalities and devices, as well as on-device machine learning. He has been recipient of various awards and has authored several articles in national as well as international platforms.

 

Dr. Raghvendra K, currently working as Additional Professor in Department of Neurology, NIMHANS, Bangaluru, is a DM in Neurology from NIMHANS. He has keen interest in Electroencephalography, Biomedical signalling and Epilepsy. He has received various international fellowships like Michael fellowship, Travel fellowship to conduct his research. Also, he is doing his dual PhD from University of Liverpool and NIMHANS. He has authored various national and international papers as well as received various project grants.

Module -1 : Clinical Neurophysiology

  • Neuroanatomical & Neurophysiological Basis of EEG.
  • Principles of Visual analysis of EEG.
  • Normal EEG & Abnormal EEG assessment
  • Activation procedures and artifacts

Module -2 : EEG Interpretation in clinics

Epilepsy, Stroke, Focal deformities

Module -3 : Signal processing and Quantification of EEG

Concepts Covered:

  • Collecting EEG Signal: EEG Electrode and Placement
  • Filter settings.
  • Calibration, Montages.
  • Hands-on With EEG Data Pre-processing Platform
  • Hands-on with Time-frequency domain analysis of EEG Signal

Learning outcomes :

Analyse data in neuroscience research
