Description of the workshop

The workshop on GenAI powered multi-attribute decision-making is a 5 hour workshop designed to support stakeholders viz., students, faculties, and/or industry personnel in data driven decision-making. As it is well know that data is the new oil, preferences of people are considered crucial in business and they facilitate informed decisions. Be it service-based or product-based firm, taking the right decision based on available data is a key challenge to be addressed. 

In general, multi-attribute decision-making is an operations research concept that considers multiple attributes/factors to prioritize a set of options. Rather than considering single attribute, the idea to consider a set of attributes that decide the performance of an option. GenAI on the other hand, is a popular and powerful paradigm in AI that is now actively used in sectors like business and education. This workshop aims to combine these two philosophies to give the stakeholders the state-of-the-art learning that could help them in their day-to-day task/activities.

In this workshop, learners will learn the construct of decision-making, methods that facilitate data driven decision-making, limitations of classical decision-making, role of GenAI to circumvent the limitations, and alike.
