Profile of the Instructor

Prof. Ramkumar Rajendran is an Associate Professor in the Interdisciplinary Programme in Educational Technology at IITB. Before this, he worked as a Research Scholar at Vanderbilt University, USA and as an assistant manager at NEC Central Research Laboratory in Japan. His research interests include Learning Analytics, Affective Computing, Educational Data Mining, Intelligent Learning environments, Self-regulated learning, MOOC Data Analytics, Natural Language Processing, and Deep Learning. Ramkumar received a Ph.D. from IITB-Monash Research Academy, IITB, India, and Monash University, Melbourne. He was a Program Chair and Track Chair for International Conferences like IEEE T4E, ICALT, LAK, and ICCE. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the International Educational Data Mining Society (IEDMS) and the Executive Committee

Module Name: Foundations of GenAI Tools and Workflow Automation

Concepts Covered :

  • Introduction to Generative AI and LLMs
  • What are the ways to use LLMs for teaching and learning?
  • Methods to personalise LLMs for a specific task
  • Exploring Gems and AI Agents
  • Using Google AI Studio
  • Intro to n8n for workflows

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the function of LLMs and their shortcomings
  • Learn how to create basic AI agents
  • Gain experience with no-code/low-code automation tools like n8n and AI Studio

Assessment:

Hands-on activity: Build a basic AI workflow using n8n + LLM

Module Name : Demo Day: Build & Showcase Your AI Agents & Workflows

Concepts Covered :

  • Presenting real-world AI agent demos
  • Peer review and improvement
  • Collaborative learning and feedback loop

Learning Outcomes:

  • Apply learned tools to real use cases
  • Build confidence in creating automated AI solutions
  • Learn by teaching and seeing diverse AI workflows in action

Assessments:

Peer-reviewed presentations of the projects.

Undergraduate students of any Stream and Teachers with any Graduate degree

Fees & Certificate Criteria

Attendance and Completion of the activity (Project) is the eligibility to obtain the certificate
