Workshop - 3 : Incorporating IKS - Indian Knowledge Systems in education and life

Description of the workshop

In alignment with the National Education Policy 2020’s vision of holistic and multidisciplinary education, this workshop explores the transformative integration of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into contemporary education and professional practice. Join us for an enriching dialogue featuring three distinguished panelists who exemplify the practical application of IKS across diverse domains—a corporate leader demonstrating ethical leadership rooted in Indian philosophy, a top B-school academician bridging ancient wisdom with modern management pedagogy, and a gurukula practitioner and leader preserving traditional teaching methodologies. This interactive session will examine how timeless principles from indigenous sciences, ethics, and philosophical traditions can enhance critical thinking, foster environmental consciousness, and nurture value-based learning. Participants will gain actionable insights on decolonizing curriculum design, promoting cultural continuity while embracing innovation, and creating educational frameworks that honor India’s intellectual legacy. Whether you’re an educator, student, administrator, or lifelong learner, discover practical pathways to integrate IKS into personal growth and professional excellence, creating a harmonious synthesis of heritage and modernity.
