Profile of the Instructor

Dr. Abraham Cyril Issac serves as an Assistant Professor at IIT Guwahati, where he specializes in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. He earned his Ph.D. from IIT Madras and Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, and holds a foundational degree in Mechanical Engineering from MNIT Jaipur. His academic journey is further enriched with postgraduate degrees in Business Administration, Psychology, and Business Laws from NIT Calicut, the University of Madras, and NLSIU Bangalore respectively. Dr. Issac’s scholarly work focuses on Organizational Behaviour, with a particular emphasis on the emerging construct of Knowledge Hiding, in which he is recognized as one of the most productive researchers globally. His research interests span Human Resource Management, Knowledge Management, and Strategy. He is the recipient of prestigious accolades including the IIT Madras Institute Research Award (2021) and the R.N. Rajendran Best Thesis Award. His publications in leading international journals and presentations at reputed global conferences have garnered wide recognition. Dr. Issac’s NPTEL courses consistently receive exceptional feedback. Beyond academia, he is an accomplished Organizational Behaviour and Psychology consultant, actively engaging in training, coaching, and professional development programmes.
