Profile of the instructors

Dr. Sriharitha Rowthu is a faculty in the  Materials Engineering Department at IIT Gandhinagar since Dec 2019. Prior to that, Dr.  Rowthu did her Ph.D. from EPFL, Switzerland and B. Tech + M. Tech from IIT Madras.  Dr. Rowthu has been teaching various courses such as Surface Engineering, Transport  Phenomena, Corrosion and degradation of Materials, Introduction to Materials Science.  Her research includes surface wettability and liquid coated surfaces. Her research is  focused on solid-liquid interfaces in the non-wetting, tribological and corrosion fields.

Dr. Sreeram K. Kalpathy is a faculty in the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering  Department at IIT Madras since Oct 2015. Prior to that he was a faculty member at NIT  Karnataka, Surathkal for 2.5 years. Dr. Kalpathy did his Ph.D. from University of  Minnesota, USA and B. Tech + M. Tech from IIT Madras. He has been teaching various  courses such as Polymers & colloids, Structure of Materials, Introduction to Mathematical  Computing. His research includes various verticals within soft matter such as polymers  and plastics, colloids and emulsions, and complex fluids.
